Every year, brilliant young women with extraordinary potential are forced to choose between paying bills and pursuing their dreams.

Shine On eliminates that barrier. We believe potential should never be limited by opportunity.

Our Mission

At Shine On, we empower historically underrepresented young women by providing financial support, mentorship, and professional development so they can thrive in college, launch meaningful careers, and lead with confidence beyond.

Through our community-driven Giving Circle, we pool donations to fund impact scholarships for brilliant, talented women who embody courage, confidence, and commitment.

Together, we break down financial barriers and invest in the next generation of changemakers—equipping them with the resources, community, and belief they need to succeed and uplift others.

What is a Giving Circle?

  • A giving circle is participatory philanthropy in which individuals pool their money and collectively decide how to distribute.

  • Shine On will fund impact scholarships for deserving, historically underrepresented young women.

  • Members may choose to participate in the scholarship process.

  • All donors will be invited to an impact scholar award reception in May 2026.

Our Partnership with LiveGirl

Shine On operates in partnership with LiveGirl, a Connecticut-based nonprofit building confident, career-ready leaders since 2014. Together, we ignite the next generation of leaders:

  • LiveGirl identifies outstanding young women ready to rise and provides professional development and confidence coaching.

  • Shine On provides the financial resources, donor network and mentorship to help them thrive.

This partnership goes beyond financial support, it empowers Shine On scholars to lead with courage while inspiring the next generation of women leaders in their communities.
